Request for SCReN support
What are the requirements for my project to apply for SCReN support?
For a project to be eligible for SCReN support, it needs to fulfil some essential requirements,
The following assessment criteria will be taken into account:
A.Essential requirements for the incorporation of the project.
- Independent clinical research projects with funding from ISCIII or European Union calls.
- Multicentre projects. In the case of studies with advanced therapies, which are in early stages
or are proof of concept and where the aim is to
phases or are proofs of concept, and where the intention is to expand the number of centres in the

centres in phase or further development, it is acceptable that they are single-centre.
B. Criteria for assessing applications
- Clinical trials with medicinal products and medical devices. The incorporation of other studies

- Collaboration with other platforms, networks, groups or institutions, especially interaction
with other ISCIII platforms.
- Minimum request for platform support. In national projects, it will be considered that the
studies request all platform activities (project management, monitoring, pharmacovigilance, data
management and statistics).In European / international projects, it will be valued to include at
least the project management (coordinating centre).
- The characteristics and duration of the project will be assessed according to the capacity of
resources available at any given time.
- Exceptionally, those proposals with non-ISCIII or European Union funding, but which are
which,
in the framework of independent clinical research, are considered a priority because of their
relevance for the NHS and meet the rest of the criteria, will be the object of individual study
and may be considered for incorporation into the platform.
When to apply for SCReN support?
The collaboration of SCReN as a platform must be requested through the local UIC during the
preparation of the application report and before submission to the Instituto de Salud Carlos III.

The Platform has limited resources. Therefore, SCReN's involvement at an early stage of the
project's
of the project development will ensure the adequate estimation of the necessary resources and will
subsequently facilitate the start-up and implementation of the project.
After an initial assessment, if the project is a candidate for inclusion in the platform,
will receive the necessary advice on the preparation of those sections of the report that require
the support of SCReN (activity or consultancy)

How can we apply for SCReN support?
Through a Clinical Research Unit belonging to the
Platform, who
will carry out a first review of the project.
It
will ask you for the essential information of the project, to be sent to the Coordination Unit of
the platform.
Once received, SCReN will analyse your project, evaluate the necessary resources in accordance with
with the
schedule and characteristics of the study. If the project is accepted on the platform,
we will provide a
certificate of support for the requested activities, which must be attached to the application
reports.
If your project obtains the requested funding, SCReN will initiate the procedures for
the start-up of the project.
